Job Summary:


As the General Manager of Enterprise Risk, you will play a pivotal role in establishing and implementing robust commercial and enterprise risk management frameworks.

Your responsibilities will include designing, driving, and integrating risk management practices across the organization, ensuring statutory compliance, identifying and managing risks, stakeholder management, and overseeing subsidiary companies.


Key Responsibilities:

Enterprise-wide Risk Management Framework: Develop and integrate an Enterprise-Wide Risk Framework (ERMF), drive risk awareness, and ensure alignment with business unit strategies.

Statutory Compliance: Establish compliance frameworks, monitor regulatory requirements, and ensure accurate statutory reporting. Draft and implement ethics policies.

Risk Identification and Management: Identify, assess, and manage relevant risks, monitor breaches to risk appetite, conduct risk assessments, and ensure business continuity and disaster recovery plans.

Stakeholder Management: Manage relationships with key stakeholders including Board committees, National Treasury, and operational risk committees.

Oversight and Evaluation: Monitor and evaluate adherence to policies and procedures, evaluate provisions, manage credit risk, and provide independent evaluations.

Departmental and People Management: Lead performance management, capacity planning, and financial management within the department.


Minimum Requirements:


  • Relevant 4year tertiary qualification (B Com, BA, LLB, Risk Management, Business Management, or related)
  • Postgraduate
  • 810 years of experience in Enterprise Risk Management, Compliance, Ethics, and Governance
