Hydraulics Fitter / Fabricator - Johannesburg East (Kempton Park) - R22,000.00pm

Job Purpose:

To assemble hydraulic power packs and assemble hydraulic components, as per drawing and at times per sample. To fabricate any additional part necessary, to complete any given fitting task.

Skills Requirements:

Grade 12 (Matric)/N3 or equivalent
Minimum of 4 years Hydraulic manufacturing experience
Qualified Artisan / Trade Test
Knowledge of powerpacks, pumps and cylinders
Fault finding
Fabrication
Able to read Hydraulic schematics
Field service
Bending of hydraulic tubing
Disassembly and assembly of pumps requiring adjustment and setting. Including troubleshooting without supervision.
Find fault repair and rebuild of hydraulic systems
Coordinate the stripping and actual repair of cylinders
Preparation of parts for spray painting and paint parts
Hand welding by mechanically fed electrodes
Machining of different hydraulic components according to drawing specifications, following the job card as procedure for manufacturing
Assist in the stripping off and assessments of repairs for quotations purposes
To build power packs, assemble and test cylinders and other hydraulic components
Assemble, precharge and test accumulators
Drilling of holes
Deburring of all manufactured parts
Operating hand portable and/or pedestal grinding machine where the operator is not required to grind to marks and/or gauges and/or sizes and/or templates
Check, prepare and mark own blocks
Assembling of jobs as per drawing / circuit diagram
