Description
Ensure that the Operational targets are communicated to all Group Leaders and have an action plan.- Identify quality defects coming off the line, and manage the implementation of and countermeasures.
- Chair the daily Operations meeting, reporting on Operational issues & get feedback from Departments.
- Ensure planning in production methods & steering production sequences.
- Liaise with QA & Process Control on efficiency and their productivity techniques.
- Ensuring that all disciplinary issues are appropriately and timeously addressed.
- Promote and encourage good team spirit amongst employees.
- Manage stakeholders' communication with union, suppliers etc.
- Address stock differences based on volume, nature of the parts and accuracy of the count team.
- Approve the dispatch of an incomplete production vehicle, along with other Heads of Departments.
- Monitor and manage the budget for operations in terms of overheads.
- Ensure that all ISO procedures and instructions are complied with and updated as and when necessary.
Qualifications:
- Diploma/Degree in Operations or Production Management.
- Diploma/Degree in industrial Engineering.
Skills:
- Computer Literate.
- Encourage Teamwork.
- Good communication (oral and written) & interpersonal relations skills.
- Must have an understanding of the unionised environment.
- Work accurately under pressure and be able to meet deadlines.
Experience:
- Experience in a Managerial role 8 years
- Previous automotive experience will be an advantage 1 year
