Our client, who is at the forefront of its global industry in terms of sustainability and supporting the circular economy with a purpose to protect and enhance the environment by effectively managing the lifecycle of halocarbons to build a sustainable future has an exciting opportunity for a Accounting/Financial Management Graduate to join its South African team as a Junior Accounts Clerk.

This role will provide a great entry into the working environment and will include responsibilities to keep financial records updated, process invoices, prepare reports and reconcile.


Responsibilities

  • Provide accounting and clerical support to the Finance department
  • Type accurately, prepare and maintain accounting documents and records
  • Prepare bank deposits, general ledger postings and statements
  • Reconcile accounts in a timely manner
  • Daily enter key data of financial transactions in database
  • Assist and support Company employees both locally and in other relevant geographic areas of operation
  • Research, track and restore accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies
  • Inform management and compile reports/summaries on activity areas
  • Function in accordance with established standards, procedures and applicable laws
  • Constantly update job knowledge

Requirements:


  • Degree in Finance/Financial Management or equivalent non negotiable
  • Proven accounting and handson experience with spreadsheets and financial reports
  • Familiarity with basic accounting procedures
  • Competency in MS Office especially Excel.
  • Ability to perform filing and record keeping tasks
  • Data entry and word processing skills
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Aptitude and flair for numbers
  • Highly motivated and efficient selfstarter
  • Multitasking
  • Willingness to learn
