Minimum Requirements:

Fluency in foreign languages is an advantage, particularly French, Arabic, Portuguese, and Spanish.
Well-developed telesales skills and evidence of previous success in a telesales environment.
Highly personable, able to relate to people on the phone, and be an excellent speaker.
Possess drive, energy, tenacity, and commitment to excellence.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and should have the ability to communicate to prospective clients based on where they are in the pre-sales cycle.

A good team player and should be able to work closely with other teams to gather and share information.
Significant B2B experience, particularly in IT and even more specifically in Networks or Security.
Business maturity with a reasonable understanding of company environments.

Intelligence and intellect and be able to handle complex issues with a sound, rigorous analytical approach and excellent structured communication.

Grade 12 (Matric) is the minimum education requirement.


Duties and Responsibilities:


Telesales / Lead Generation

The role will involve building the sales pipeline for the sales team by contacting prospective clients primarily through the phone and based on lists provided.

Focus will be on US School Districts, Resellers and other Major Sales prospects that have been identified.
Cold calling contacts to generate leads.
Preparing for calls and adapting the script to cater to the audience.
Follow up to direct marketing campaigns.
Surveying teachers or instructional technology in target schools.
Timely follow-up calls where contacts have asked for a call back on a specific date or time.

Lead Development
The goal is to grow and qualify leads until they can be passed on to the sales team.
This will be done by answering questions, sending out more information, and finding out about budgets and timelines.
Set up demos, appointments, or calls with a Senior Sales member.

Sending out relevant product information to contacts or potential clients to develop the lead further into prospects.
Contacting prospects who have shown an interest to qualify these further and pass on to the sales team.

Team Support
Part of the role includes supporting various teams, including the CAM & Support team.

Contacting clients to drive customer success, run surveys, and get referrals, as well as booking annual deployment & performance reviews.

Account recovery
- working through a list of recovery accounts, assigned to you, to try engaging and convince customers to re-deploy
Support contracts
- chasing payments for contracts, chasing feedback on renewals, and looking for hardware and/or upgrade opportunities.
Dead customers
- understand why these customers are no longer using the product and checking where customers were 'dead' but are still using the product to gauge interest in renewal / hardware etc
Referrals
- targeting accounts for referral leads e.g., educational accounts

Assisting the Technical Representatives with engaging customers to check satisfaction and help get customers to do things like, upgrade their firmware, or enable remote tunnels etc.

Assist with contacting clients to book their annual deployment & performance reviews and line up customers due for renewals in the next 3-6 months to help with smoother processing down the line

Contact Data

Lists to call will be provided, but research will be required to increase or improve existing contacts on the database.

Keeping the sales database up to date is an important aspect of the role to contact clients in direct marketing campaigns.

Responsible for maintaining the data in the database.
Researching contacts to support marketing campaigns & sales objectives as needed or for priority or time-sensitive campaigns.
Obtaining contact names and contact details from various sources and entry of new target accounts to the database.
Cold calls to targets to verify the contact or find the correct contact within the company/organization.
Data cleaning and/or scrubbing.
Keeping the database updated.

Market research
Add value in the form of Market Research and Product insights. Gathering information and feeding this back to the relevant people or departments.

The telemarketing executive will research companies and to gather information on companies / school districts / products etc., via desk research or when making calls, and will feed this back to the relevant teams.
