Technical Product Specialist (Solar/Backup)

Location:
Kew, Johannesburg

Availability:

ASAP

Offer:
R 20 000, 00 to R 25 000, 00

Qualifications:

-
Electrical / Electronic qualification (N4 or equivalent)
-
Trade Certificate

Millwright (will consider electrical/electronic trade)

Experience:

-
3yrs in a field technical role. (Can be in training)
-
3yrs in production/technical service position (Can be in training)
-
Knowledge of IT Networking
-
PV Green card certification would be an advantage (if not training will be provided)

Valid driver's license essential

Responsibilities:

Undertake and supervise all solar installations.
Assist with and undertake solar site surveys.
Accompany sales staff with technical presentations assessments.
Electrical/electronic/communication commissioning of all sites (Solar and UPS)
Customer training (Handover of sites)
Technical training for sales staff
Liaise with all levels of staff to ensure optimal technical support.
Liaise with foreign suppliers to gain integral knowledge of all stocked products (specifically with reference to IoT)
Detailed technical understanding of all products.

Administrative and routine responsibilities

Routing and completion of assessments and associated documentation
Monthly R&D meetings

General:

A company vehicle will be made available for company related business during business hours
The incumbent will be expected at all times to act in the best interests of the company
In this position the incumbent will be expected to exhibit high levels of enthusiasm and energy and to diligently and consistently maintain a high level of professionalism.
Duties and responsibilities may change as required and as agreed on from time to time.
