The primary objective of this role is to lead on our workforce management plans ensuring we are recruiting and growing our skills for the future.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Produce and be the custodian of the DO&GBS future workforce skills plan defining what we have today and what we need in the future. Ensuring delivery of the plan is through others including the HRD's, the L&D Director, the business leaders and the recruitment team amongst others
  • Working with the HRVP, develop strategies to achieve DO&GBS future skills requirements through recruitment and development of existing workforce
  • This role will work closely with the L&D Director who will be responsible for executing the training plan
  • Design and deliver programs that will help DO&GBS achieve it's gender equality ambitions including such ideas as developing a returning mothers program, a job changer program etc (this will evolve to other areas of inclusion over time but gender equality is the first priority)
  • Coach, mentor and individuals in the team.
  • Effectively manage a team, their resources, capacity and overall performance.

Knowledge, Skills and Attributes:

  • Has worked in a similar skills focussed role to develop workforce strategies to develop future skills of teams and units
  • Has experience of working in large global organisations
  • Must have a proven track record of delivery in IT services
  • A good understanding of the future skills required in an IT services organisation
  • Delivery focus
  • Analytical approach being able to analyse what we have today compared with what we need in the future through external research is imperative

Required Experience:

  • Relevant experience in a similar learning and development role within a related environment
  • Solid working experience in a learning and development capacity
  • Demonstrable experience in learning and development content creation, maintenance of training processes, and the successful development of ongoing training and development programs
  • Strong previous experience leading and managing a team
  • Excellent experience dealing with clients and managing service levels
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement experience at all levels in the organisation
