Job Purpose
- To support and enable the business strategy while protecting and enhancing the reputation of Nedbank by developing and driving the communication strategy to internal and/or external stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure translation of strategy into tactical multiyear plans by managing the execution process.
- Mitigate risk by ensuring compliance with policies; procedures; standards and regulations.
- Achieve business objectives by strategically aligning channels; messages and audiences.
- Inform stakeholders by providing updates on progress on execution of communication strategy.
- Meet business objectives by optimizing resources.
- Build and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders to deliver on business objectives.
- Deliver communication solutions strategies by listening to and understanding internal and external stakeholders so as to meet their expectations.
- Develop and manage communications strategies to deliver on business objectives.
- Meet business objectives by recommending; managing and controlling the communication budget.
- Manage all internal and external communication to enhance and protect Nedbank's reputation.
- Ensure transformational targets are met for own team through consideration of targets during the staff recruitment; retention and training process and utilizing suppliers listed on the preferred supplier list.
- Contribute to a culture conducive to the achievement of transformation goals by participating in Nedbank Culture building initiatives (e.g. staff surveys etc.).
- Address issues raised in culture surveys by participating in the development and implementation of action plans.
- Create a client service culture through various required interventions.
- Support and encourage staff to participate and support corporate responsibility initiatives.
- Achieve operational excellence by supporting the implementation of business optimization improvement through team engagement.

- Essential Qualifications
- NQF Level
- Matric / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate
- Advanced Diplomas/National 1st Degrees
- Preferred Qualification
- Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing Management
- Minimum Experience Level years' experience in managing communications and people
