Job Title:
Maintenance Technician

Qualifications:

Minimum of 6 years maintenance experience in the manufacturing industry i.e. mechanical, hydraulic, electrical
Fitter & turner qualification
NQF level 5

Experience:

Ability to interpret mechanical, hydraulic and electrical diagrams.
Minimum 5years' experience using a variety of welding equipment and methods (Arc welding machine; CO2 welding machine; gas welding; gas cutting machine);
Knowledge of setting welding machines for proper use (Stig AC & DC);
Knowledge of gas cutting techniques.
Strong problem solving and decisionmaking skills.
Ability to work in and build a team.
Ability to work under pressure.
Computer literacy.
Driven to achieve results

Industry:

Duties/Responsibilities:

Diagnose, repair and maintain machinery, equipment and plant facilities to full working condition.
Perform checks to ensure repair/work is effective and safe before handing machinery and equipment back to operations
Perform fitting and turning duties and responsibilities as per maintenance requirements and relevant specifications.
Enforce and adhere to 5S and general housekeeping procedures.
Continuous development and keeping uptodate with new technologies, implementation of Lean Manufacturing principles/methodologies.
Minimise and/or eliminate equipment downtime to achieve company targets.
Maintain and support safety standards as defined in the OHS act as well as the Company Health and Safety policy.
To be on standby and available for callouts, as and when required
