Synopsis

Minimum Requirements

Assessment process

  • Setting and moderation of assessments, this includes pre
- and post-moderation process at the various schools.


LMS administration

  • Updating the learning path on the Learning Management System with required information and changes as directed by the Curriculum Specialist.

Implementation of curriculum

  • Coordination and implementation of teacher and tutor training and supervision.
  • Resource procurement and management.
  • Visiting campuses as directed by the Head of Curriculum.

Data reporting

  • Data collection and analysis with report to all stakeholders as required by the Head of Curriculum.

Projects and enrichment

  • Creating, managing, and implementing national and international programmes and competitions that enrich the learning experience.
  • Reporting on teacher progress and implementation of the curriculum.
  • Talking part in cluster/regional and national professional learning communities as required by the examination bodies (i.e. IEB or DBE NSC)

Management, planning and design of the overall curriculum development.

  • Development of the specific model and assist in problem solving in new product development.
  • Assessing requirements for curriculum development and assigning of activities to the coordinators
  • Reviewing of materials developed, assessing quality and providing feedback.
  • Assess that curriculum developed aligns to elearning pathways.
  • Gathering of feedback on materials from schools and learners as the efficacy of the materials.
  • Facilitate and develop educator training material specific to the specialist field.

Curriculum Design and Development

  • Design, develop and evaluate learning paths and programmes. (This includes setting of Assessments across examination bodies)
  • Ensure that planning of assessments is aligned to all Curro Digital Learning offerings (i.e., CAPS and IEB).
  • Design and implement moderation instruments to ensure standardisation across the brand
  • Further the development and innovation of all curricula offered by Curro Digital Learning.
  • Develop learning support material for use in the specific brand
  • Collaborate with service providers to support curriculum delivery.
  • Work across different projects that are implemented as required.
  • Participate in research projects that are prioritized by the specific brand offering.
  • Analyze data from administrative and the learning management system.
  • Professional Development (PD) to remain on the cutting edge of changes in portfolio.
  • Define requirements for the commissioning of relevant support equipment to implement course.

Monitoring and Evaluation

  • Accountable to the Head of Curriculum to collect, analyse and use data to inform, monitor and evaluate planning, pedagogical practices and interventions.
  • Identify positive and challenging trends in the schools' academic results and engage with schools on how to effectively address the challenges.
  • Monitor the reports of the Subject Heads/Subject Coordinators, engage and give feedback on relevant matters via virtual meeting or during school visits.
  • Monitoring the implementation of the Curro academic policies and supporting documentation.
  • Provide feedback to senior management at Digital Learning on the implementation of policies and academic results as and if required.
  • Focus on the moderation especially if schools require assistance or input and evaluate where there may be gaps.
  • Visit schools as required and conduct controls to ensure that curriculum is followed at schools.

Compliance

  • Accountable to the Head of Curriculum in supporting schools with compliance to various standardization and regulatory bodies. (i.e., NSC and IEB, and therefore, UMALUSI)
  • Provide input to schools to maintain accreditation.
