Role Purpose


The purpose of the
Financial Controller role is to ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting within the Rainmaker Media business unit and owning the financial close process.

The role is responsible for ensuring that monthly financial transactions are recorded in the financial system and producing the monthly income statement in accordance with IFRS.

The role will also be involved in assisting in internal and external audit processes by providing necessary documentation and support as required.


Role Description

Financial accounting

  • Responsible for the validity, accuracy and completeness of transactions processed in the accounting records in a consistent manner.
  • Responsible for relevant reconciliations.
  • Produce monthly income statement.
  • Working closely with the Rainmaker Media team on all invoices and appropriate approval.
  • Provide data for the annual external audit.
  • Review payment allocations and address them with the debtor's administrator and creditors team leads.

Financial management

  • Produce information for use by the business on expenditure.
  • Ensure effective cost management and analysis of financial information.
  • Monitoring variances to budget.
  • Monitoring internal controls.

Qualifications and experience

  • Accounting diploma or degree (essential).
- +2 years' experience in relevant role.

  • SAP experience (essential).

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
