Position: Senior Librarian

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Library and Information Science or equivalent

Postgraduate Diploma in Library and Information Science or Bachelor of Information Science (Honours)

Minimum of four years of experience working in public libraries, including

supervisory roles

Demonstrated leadership and management skills and ability to work on a rotating Saturday schedule

Experience with resource planning tools such as SAP

Knowledge or experience in the management of library equipment, including IT resources

Experience in overseeing library operations

Key Performance Areas:

Manage and report on operational issues within the library

Assist in delivering a high-quality library service to the community

Supervise, train, and mentor staff members

Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships related to the library

Handle administrative duties as required

Responsible for marketing and promoting the library's services
