Description
Duties/Pligte

  • Providing clinical care and support to children and adults enrolled for HIV and TB trials;
  • Assisting with medical procedures;
  • Working meticulously to ensure that all trial documentation is accurate and up to date;
  • Assisting with the recruitment of participants and training of team members;
  • Working with a multidisciplinary team that includes data, regulatory, laboratory, recruiting and clinical staff, as well as with the HIV and TB programme and other stakeholders;
  • Helping to manage and coordinate care;
  • Ensuring that local and international regulatory requirements are adhered to.
Job Requirements/Pos Vereistes

  • MBChB degree;
  • Current HPCSA registration;
  • At least two years' clinical work experience;
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English;
  • Computer literacy in MS Office;
  • The ability to develop and maintain sound work relations among project staff;
  • A valid code EB driver's licence;
  • Sensitivity to cultural differences.
Recommendation/Aanbeveling

  • Experience of clinical research, preferably related to HIV and TB;
  • Paediatric clinical experience;
  • Training in good clinical practice (GCP) and other research training;
  • Interest in further career development in clinical research.
