Vodacom's No1 Retail Dealer (Est is in search of a talented, multi-skilled Operations Manager to join our high performance team.With 10 Retail stores located around the greater Durban area, our success has led to the first new expansion out of KZN to the iconic Nelson Mandela Square and The Marc in Sandton.
We are looking for a vibrant, dynamic, energetic go-getter to oversee the world class Vodacom franchise store in Nelson Mandela Square and our retail store at The Marc.

- Strong Retail communications, sales & customer service background in both consumer & enterprise business environments with strong process and policy processes.
- Worked in Vodacom structures or other Retail communications management environments for a minimum of 10 years
- Familiar with Vodacom systems, including M2 (both front & backend), VPP, UCS (both front & backend)
- Experienced in both CBU & EBU mobile & fixed connectivity solutions such as FTTB, LTE, Business Wireless, hosted servers, VoIP, cloud storage, etc
- A passion for innovation, people, technology & educating people to embrace technology
- Ability to absorb pressure, keep a calm head and excel under challenging conditions

- Mature, exemplary conduct with strong leadership qualities to guide and focus the various Retail teams on common objectives
- A good understanding of the Retail telecommunications landscape, with a strong understanding of where Vodacom finds itself as a brand
- Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect & communicate effectively with Retail staff, Managers, OEM representatives, Head Office staff and senior management alike
- Familiar with basic profit & loss statements
- Proficient in Super advanced Excel & basic PowerPoint
Duties & responsibilities include overseeing management & guidance on all Retail, Fibre and Enterprise Units.
Due to Gauteng being new to the group you are required to build and oversee the following Business units within Gauteng area.
Connectivity sales team to sell Fibre to the home externally
Enterprise business unit - Build a team to be ale to sell end solutions business solutions to cover the entire Gauteng areas
These include, but are not limited to:
Driving & achieving sales & non-sales targets
Must have Sound knowledge in:
Human Resources:
- Time management, recruitment, coaching development, team building, Disciplinary and motivation. Maintaining a high staff retention with a positive hungry sales force environment within your sector.
Marketing and Promotions:
- Creating a marketing plan for each business unit and owning the branding and marketing in the area.
Compliance- Maintaining Compliance of all Vodacom Business rules and company Rules. Random checks to ensure no fraud and syndicate activities.
Maintenance:
- Managing and maintaining of all equipment including shop fittings for retail and offices.
Customer care:
Maintaining a high standard of customer care at all times
General admin:
And after sales and compliance on repairs, Owings, all services processed in our stores sales or pure service transaction.
Managing the teams and updates on wats app groups.Stock - Managing stock of both devices and accessories to ensure always ahead of the industry. Ensuring we are sufficiently stocked and managing redundancy weekly. Competitor Analyst to ensure we remain competitive in each mall. Managing stock control and stock takes to minimize stock shortages.

- Always building and maintaining processes between customers
SALES TARGETS
New Postpaid connections in both Voice & Data on consumer and SME
Fibre sales
- both internal and external
Upgrades/Retentions on voice, data and connectivity
Cash Sales - Devices, airtime and gear
Accessories, CIOT and gadgets
Insurance and financial services products
TechZone (PSU - Perfect Start Up) including basic repairs and software upgrades.
Connectivity - LTE (Long term evolution) - wireless internet, - Business Internet Wireless
Enterprise sales - Cloud services, hosted servers, tracking, PABX
NON-SALES TARGETS
Customer service - TNPS (Touch Point Net Promoter Score)
Qnomy statistics (queue management within the Store)
Meeting Customer Service objectives
Handling daily operational matters, including
Housekeeping, cleanliness, branding & marketing elements, Top 10 Table, Corporate identity, planograms, digital screens etc
Infrastructure maintenance, including shop fitting, IT & store automation
Managing on-site marketing & promotions, including
In-store promotions,
In-mall promotions
Out-of-Mall Promotions
Relationship management of potential promotional
