Relevant Qualifications, experience & knowledge required

  • Qualified Fitter & Turner preferable (qualification OR experience)
  • N6/ T4/ S4 Mechanical diploma a great advantage
  • Min 5 years Engineering workshop experience
  • Fitting industrial gearboxes, bearing assemblies etc...
  • Conventional turning and milling
  • Knowledge of types of steel
  • Knowledge of Heat Treatment processes
  • Able to read drawings
  • Cost estimating foe machines components (conventional & CNC)
  • Client quotes & liaise with customers
  • Able to discuss technical info with customers
  • Strong customer relations skills
  • Highly computer literate
  • Valid Code 8 Drivers license
  • Own transport
