Job Purpose


The key purpose of the data analyst includes researching, analysing, interpreting, and presenting data related to operations, customers (Discovery), and other information related to Corporate Real Estate Solutions (CRES).

The right individual will also possess experience in all stages of BI project work from backend database to front end visualization.

In this career, your responsibilities often revolve around performing research to identify and understand problems in business operations and how business processes can be improved in a particular sector (in this case CRES).

The data analyst will collect data and interview anyone involved in the business processes being examined. They will also study the effect that different changes and circumstances would have on each of these parts. These reports are to be presented in a way that assists these stakeholders to make better decisions. In some situations, you may be required to recommend actions based on research results.


Key Outputs may include but are not limited to:

Proactively and reactively identify potential problems, sub-standard service and opportunities for improving service and customer experience within business (CRES).

  • Quantitative data and business analysis methods
  • Descriptive (mean, median, mode, range)
  • Inferential (correlation, regression, variance)
  • Qualitative data analysis (research, survey feedback)
  • Service Desk real time performance and feedback dashboard
  • CRES stream dashboards
  • Customer experience / process mapping

Collect and organise information.

Analyse data.
Using statistical analysis or simulations to analyse collected data and extract information relevant to the problem being addressed. Where required, compare results with international best practise. Develop and test quantitative models, support software, and analytical tools.

Documentation and recommendation.
Write memos, reports, and other documents explaining their findings and recommendations for managers, executives, and other officials


Job / Role Requirements

Work Experience

Required

  • 3 years working experience within a corporate research and data space

Preferred (would be advantageous)

  • Experience working within a corporate Facilities Management division

Education / Qualifications / Accreditations with Professional Body

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in data analysis, statistics, or mathematics.

Preferred (would be advantageous)

  • A postgraduate course in data analysis

Professional Registration

  • N/A

Technical Skills or Knowledge

Required

  • Proficient in PowerBI development
  • Takes initiative and works under own direction.
  • Works productively in a highpressure environment.
  • Responds quickly to the needs of the client and to their feedback.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and report writing skills.
  • Writes in a wellstructured and logical way.
  • Computer literacy and familiarity with advanced statistical and database software.
  • Exceptional presentation skills (wellstructured and logical).
  • Time management skills.
  • Having a systematic and logical approach to problemsolving.
  • Strong mathematical skills to help collect, measure, organise and analyse data.
