Description

Our client, a global consulting house specialising in IT solutions, is looking for the
Commercial Legal Council in IT Sector ** be Available to start Immediately or no later than 30 days

Requirements:

Experience negotiating commercial contracts, data protection agreements, preferably IT

outsourcing master services agreements, vendor and subcontractor agreements, statements of
work, data protection agreements, reseller and partner agreements, teaming agreements, SaaS
subscription and Cloud hosting agreements, staffing agency agreements, and NDAs.

Strong understanding of current legal issues facing outsourcing and technology suppliers in the

South Africa, including intellectual property rights and data privacy regimes such as POPIA.

Prior experience working in or with IT Services organizations, preferably organizations with

offshore operations.

Advise management on the company's compliance with laws and regulations.
Good knowledge of local regulatory and government policy requirements and related

compliances such as POPIA, LRA or BBBEE etc.

Experience with or interest in data privacy and cybersecurity, information technology, AI, machine

learning and all related areas of law such as intellectual property, licensing, data rights are helpful.

Prior experience working in a fastpaced work environment where good time management skills

are necessary.

Confident personality capable of managing demanding business teams and deadlines.
Ability to work alone but still actively participate in global remote team activities.
Excellent written and oral communication skills to facilitate successful interaction with all levels

of management and staff.

Excellent customer service (internal and external), interpersonal and organizational skills.
Flexibility and willingness to work on a broad variety of legal matters with a teamplayer attitude.
Technology savvy or experience in technology platforms for contract lifecycle management is a

plus, experience with Microsoft Office Suite required.

Education & Experience:

Previous large law firm experience or previous experience as an in-house outsourcing or technology lawyer is strongly preferred.
