Description
Responsible for the coordination of daily, weekly, monthly, and annual maintenance programmes for the factory. Ensure that Purchase Requisitions are generated for the maintenance projects. Acts as the Superuser for the AMM module for the factory. Maintain acceptable and legal SHE standards.


Responsibilities:


  • As Data Provider, supply/capture complete, accurate data and as per standard on time to the Data Enterer. Adhere to the best practices for data management and business excellence and ensures that it adhered too.
  • Coordinate daily weekly, monthly and annual maintenance programs and ensures availability of spares required for this maintenance.
  • Schedule and maintain Maintenance Plans and Tasks and Resources for existing and new assets.
  • Run the deadline monitoring for PM03 Work Orders and hand the work orders over to the artisans.
  • Liaise with Production and Engineering on a daily basis to ensure technical and/or operational issues are resolved.
  • Utilize Planned Downtime for Scheduled/Predictive and Condition-Based Maintenance with Work Orders.
  • Optimize Predictive Maintenance technologies (Condition Monitoring and inspections) to minimize unplanned technical stoppages.
  • Schedule all repairs/modifications resulting from gap assessments and other plant audits.
  • Monitor the capturing of the Inventory Cycle Count by the store person.
  • Posting of the Inventory Count Difference and filing the records for audit purposes.
  • Ensure that invoices and documentation are sent to the Technical Purchaser.
  • Ensure satisfactory audit results for external/internal auditors.
  • Ensure procedures amendments and followup for the Maintenance Connection AMM.
  • Ensure 100% compliance of the Maintenance Connection AMM data as per Global Standards, enforcing first time right principle and having errors corrected.
  • Compile Maintenance Connection AMM Training Material for the Maintenance Connection AMM end users.
  • Ensure AMM end users are trained to execute the assigned transactions and within real time.
  • Ensure that the Maintenance Connection AMM Best Practices and Data Standards are adhered to.
  • Ensure the accurate submission of the Engineering Monthly Report, KPI reports as per the Maintenance Connection AMM Standards in time.
  • Make telephone calls related to factory matters.
  • Call out and coordinate all contractor activities for:
  • Building maintenance (Blocked drains, taps, toilets, roofs, gutters, Fire systems, etc.)
  • Industrial services (Water, steam, compressed air, effluent, Ammonia, etc.)
  • COCT water and sanitation issues.
  • Forklifts etc.
  • Lifts (passenger and goods)
  • Etc.
  • Obtain quotations as required and submit them to the Engineering manager.
  • Prepare manage and update the standby and shift roaster for the engineering staff if required.
  • Attend meetings in time.
  • Implement and manage a performance management process for the Technical Store person.
  • Ensure training for the Maintenance Connection AMM end users is given when needed.
  • Ensure that assistance is given to users to solve the Maintenance Connection AMM
  • Ensure that people procedures related to the Maintenance Connection AMM system are maintained.
  • Ensure that Grievance and Disciplinary procedures are adhered to when necessary.
  • Ensure effective relationships and communication with coworkers.
  • Consolidate the action plans from CDM studies and translate them into yearly, monthly, weekly maintenance plans to ensure maintenance is executed at the right time.

Skills and Competence Required:


  • Indepth knowledge of equipment maintenance and production planning.
  • Knowledge of food safety, regulatory requirements for food safety and hygienic engineering (OSH&R).
  • General understanding of financial analysis, budget reports and relevant business drivers.
