Description

Cape Five, a well-known fruit exporting company, has two exciting positions available for a Commercial Coordinator.

The Commercial Coordinator plays a critical role in the company in that they are the link between the procurement team, who purchase fruit from farmers, the sales, finance and logistics teams, and Cape Five's customers.

Their main responsibility is to coordinate processes to ensure smooth interaction and transactions between these stakeholders.

You will be the right person for this role if you have exceptional organisational, and strong administrative and communication skills and are passionate about delivering a high standard of service to your stakeholders.

Duties & Responsibilities

Coordinate customer orders:

Compile preseasonal supply plan as provided by Commercial Manager.
Compile sales business plan for each customer as provided by Commercial Manager.
Compile price offers and send to targeted customers.
Send stock offers to potential buyers and assist with allocating stock according to customer orders.
Identify available vessels and communicate the ETA at desired port of destination.
Once orders from customers have been received:
Obtain import permits and LC (letter of credit) documentation for customers
Confirm label requirements and communicate to the packhouses/depots
Sign and save purchase orders
Allocate pallets on ERP System according to commercial instruction

Customer Information maintenance:

Follow the necessary company procedures to onboard new agents and clients, or existing agents and clients with new invoice parties.
Update customers with tracking information

Creditors and Debtors coordination:

Prepare sales orders by:
Allocating pallets to vessels
Capturing grower and sales prices
Attend to invoice queries from clients and forwarding agents and escalate to Commercial Team where necessary.
Hand over quality feedback to Quality Controller to address with relevant Category Manger.
Request credit notes from finance department on behalf of Commercial Manager when necessary.
Report payments received to Finance.
Report credits requested to Commercial Manager.
Communicate credits given back to the grower where relevant.

Quality control system management:

Monitor customer claims within times as agreed between procurement and sales.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Bcom or similar tertiary qualification
