Take responsibility for Accountants, check in on them daily, and assist them to plan their week

Ensure all monthly deadlines are met and assist Accountants in meeting their deadlines

First reviewer of Management Accounts, VAT and EMP recons, Annual Financial Statements, and working papers/recons

First reviewer of letters and supporting documents for ad hoc tasks

Allocate newly onboarded clients to Accountants

Assist the Accountants with onboarding clients and assist them in setting up accounting profiles with all the necessary info

Send reviewed documents to the Manager for final review, once the final review is completed, send documents to the client

Set up monthly/bi-monthly meetings with clients as required

Stay up to date with tax and legislative requirements and developments

Ensure the quality level of work produced by Accountants is up to standard and improving

Present to clients in a meaningful manner to assist the client in growing their business

Ensure all the Accountant tasks are accurately shown and allocated at the beginning of the month

Find resolutions for accountant queries with support from the Manager

Communicate management strategies to Accountants

Compile own clients' Annual Financial Statements and send to the Manager for final review

Assist with ad hoc tasks if and when needed by Directors, Managers etc.

Discuss any difficulties or staffing issues with the Manager

Skills & Experience:

Experience hosting and facilitating client meetings

Able to present and interpret Management Accounts/Financial Statements to clients

Experience communicating with clients and assisting with their questions

Excellent problem solver

Patient team player

Qualification:

SAICA or SAIPA or CIMA Articles
