Reservations Consultants are responsible for all calls, reservations and quotations for all properties within the Village & Life portfolio through the_ Travel Support Channel platform_.


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Grade 12 or equivalent
  • Qualification in Hospitality and Tourism (advantageous)
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in the same or similar position
  • Must speak, read, write and understand English at a professional level.
  • Opera (requirement)
  • MS Office (essential)
  • Exceptional upselling skills, including tours, packages, and tourism experiences
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Transfers to or from the properties booked and accurately confirmed for the right time and date with Transfer Company
  • Booked and confirmed meal reservations in advance with the travel desk or restaurant and with the guest/agent/operator and ensure that the details appear on correspondence and PMS accurately
  • Liaison with clients & maintain professional and cordial relationships
  • Process amendments to reservations such as extensions, early departures, etc
  • Record special billing arrangements for reservations in all business segments
  • Liaise with Reservations, Finance & Sales Manager for all reservations requiring credit approval
  • Maintain knowledge of special rates, offers & promotions
  • Immediate communication, to front office, of amendments to on the day arrivals.
  • Followup on all provisional bookings
  • Ensure that the bookings are confirmed with deposits, full prepayments, voucher numbers where applicable.
  • Followup on any special requests, tourism service bookings and arrival times.
  • Follow up on all trade peak bookings within the property portfolio, ensuring that the trade bookings are confirmed and updated by the end of September each year.
  • Communication of any specials, VIP bookings to Reservations Manager and Front Office.
  • Guest complaints and follow up must be communicated to the Reservations Manager
