Our large coal and heavy minerals mining client is currently recruiting for a Community Development Specialist that will be responsible to identify, design, develop, plan, manage, implement, monitor and report on Mega Projects community development Local Economic Development/Social and Economic Development/Economic Development projects according to Company processes and relevant legal/regulatory requirements in accordance with the Business Unit's plans & priorities.

To support, participate in and manage stakeholder engagement related to the Projects Local Economic Development/Social and Economic Development/Economic Development community projects in alignment with the Business Unit's processes.

Duration: 12 months


Location:
Kriel, Mpumalanga


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor of Social Science ( Essential/Minimum )
  • Certificate in Stakeholder Management (Essential/Minimum)
  • Certificate First Line Management ( Essential/Minimum )
  • Certificate Project Management ( Recommended/Desirable )

Minimum Requirements:


  • 5 years experience in stakeholder management and community development within a Mining environment.
  • An ability to demonstrate understanding of the local/provincial sociopolitical, socioeconomic and relevant legal/regulatory environment in which the Business Unit (BU) operates to inform BU's community development priorities/plans.
