Job Advert Summary:

The IT Assets Teams is looking for an Assets Manager to join their team.

The purpose of the IT Assets Manager is:

  • To ensure the correct management of all Hollard leased Assets
  • To ensure the correct management of Hollard procured software
  • Ensure the correct management of the Stock team and Service Engineers

Required Knowledge and Experience:


Required Experience:

  • MS Operating Systems working knowledge Windows7 and Windows 10 beneficial
  • MS Office Systems working knowledge, Office 2010, 2013. Office 365 advantageous
  • At least 5 years' experience within an IT Asset management role

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and control Hollard's IT assets(hardware, software).
  • Ensure that leased assets which have reached their end of term are collected from staff, and sent back to Innovent(the Supplier).
  • Ensure that old assets are archived on the Latitude(DTA) asset management system.
  • Ensure that there is proper management of assets that have not appeared on the network for 3 month and beyond. They need to be highlighted, and an enquiry sent to each employee and their manager on whether the asset is still in use.
  • Ensure the proper recording and handling of lost or stolen assets.
  • Ensure the Storeroom and LAB are clear of old equipment.
  • Ensure we receive a certificate for equipment we sent for recycling.
  • Ensure you understand the cost structure of both leased assets and procured software.
  • Ensure we recover 100% of all the procured hardware and software.
  • Come up with innovative ways to improve efficiency within your area of responsibility.
  • Gain an understanding on the equipment procured by Hollard, and provide advise on better ways to save costs, while using the most efficient equipment.
  • Ensure all employee complaints and queries are timeously resolved, and proper action is taken to prevent future occurrences.

Educational Requirements:


  • Bcom Degree(or in the process of attaining one)
