We are seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to join our team as a Recruitment and Follow-up Team Leader for a study focused on recruiting inmates from correctional facilities and providing comprehensive follow-up post-release.

This role involves coordinating recruitment efforts within correctional facilities, conducting follow-up activities post-release, and leading a team of dedicated professionals to ensure the study's success.


Recruitment:


  • Develop and implement recruitment strategies to engage inmates within correctional facilities.
  • Collaborate with correctional facility staff to facilitate recruitment efforts.
  • Conduct informational sessions and interviews with potential study participants.
  • Maintain accurate records of recruitment activities and participant information.

Follow-up:


  • Establish and maintain contact with study participants postrelease through telephonic communication and home visits
  • Provide support and resources to participants to facilitate successful reintegration into society.
  • Document and report followup activities and participant progress.

Team Leadership:


  • Supervise and support a team of recruitment and followup staff members.
  • Provide training and guidance to team members to ensure the quality and consistency of recruitment and followup activities.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment to promote team morale and motivation.

Administrative Tasks:


  • Assist in the development and implementation of study protocols and procedures.
  • Coordinate scheduling and logistics for recruitment and followup activities.
  • Prepare reports and presentations summarizing recruitment and followup outcomes for study stakeholders.

Skills required _(Technical, functional, & behavioural)_

  • Demonstrated understanding of the complexity of issues relating to community reintegration of former inmates.
  • Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel and Windowsbased programmes)
  • Ability to assess client needs and provide relevant referrals
  • Ability to provide assistance in making appointments for clients, as needed.
  • Ability to work independently within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as excellent interpersonal skills with patients, staff, and other health care professionals.
  • Needs to demonstrate consistent professional conduct and meticulous attention to detail

Work experience

  • Minimum two years' experience in research projects with justiceinvolved individuals (i.e., incarcerated individuals/formerly incarcerated individuals.
  • Prior experience with recruitment of inmates from correctional facilities.
  • Prior experience with community followup of former inmates.
  • Working knowledge of DCS structures in the community.
