Minimum requirements for the role:


  • Previous experience having worked within the personal care/cosmetic industry is preferred.
  • The company is happy to look at a good formulation chemist or a Quality Control Manager who has worked within the pharmaceutical or food or related manufacturing markets.
  • A broad understanding of personal care / cosmetics research and development process is preferred.
  • Previous experience having done stability testing for cosmetic products is preferred.
  • A good understanding of ISO 22716, good manufacturing process, is preferred.
  • A basic cosmetic manufacturing understanding of the process of formulations and cosmetic R&D laboratory experience is advantageous.
  • Performing and overseeing all quality management systems, formulations and working closely with production in terms of a range of skincare products
  • Preparing, mixing and dispensing products when necessary.
  • Managing stock levels of raw materials and ordering new stock.
  • Working closely and overseeing the planning of production based on finished goods stock requirements.
  • Setting up, maintaining and driving the quality management system
  • ISO 2271
  • Formulating new products and reformulating existing products where necessary.
  • Manufacturing trial batches as well as handling quality control of products.
**Salary package, including benefits, is highly negotiable depending on experience gained.
