District Office Manager position to be based in

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:


The District Office Manager is primarily responsible to manage all field services relating to CPE (Customer Premises Equipment) installations, customer technical support, as well as the day to day "running" of the office.


The responsibility for planning work resides in the POSC (Planning, Operating and Support Centre) and District Office Manager works with the Helpdesk, Sales and Field Operations to achieve objectives.

The District Office Manager will also periodically assist the Regional Growth Manager when exploring expansion opportunities.


Key Performance Areas would include, but are not limited to:


Leadership:


  • Lead and manage a team.
  • Manage team performance.
  • Clearly communicate expectations, roles and responsibilities to team members and supply employees with the resources required to perform.
  • Adhere to and reenforce the company policies, procedures and practices at all times.
  • Support, motivate and give feedback to the team.
  • Grow and develop team members and encourage team members to do training as and when required.
  • Onboard new recruits effective and efficiently.
  • Live and promote the Herotel values and culture.

Maintain Network (RF & Fibre):


  • Schedule and perform maintenance of planned and unplanned work as per RF/ NOC/ Fibre.
  • Drive and achieve network availability and quality performance measures as discussed and agreed.
  • Working with the POSC to identify network performance issues and address them on an ongoing basis.

Installations and Field Support (RF & Fibre):

  • Plan capacity to be able to handle installation and field support volumes as forecast by the Regional Management Team.
  • Schedule and coordinate all installations and field support activities in cooperation with the POSC (specifically or support activities).
  • Support all installations and field staff according to provided standards.
  • Monitor and adjust staff targets as required.
  • Measure staff performance against set KPI's.
  • Provide staff performance feedback on a regular basis.

Limited Fibre Expansion Projects:


  • Manage the local teams during small fibre expansion projects where existing fibre infrastructure is expanded by adding small quantities of stands at a time.
  • Planning of the network builds will be handled in the Regional Fibre Team.

District Network Office Management:


  • Management of the District Office activities and staff.
  • Facilitate a good working environment for the walkin sales function, executing its work under Management of e Regional Sales Team.
  • Lead the MOS (Management Operating System) and daily compliance.
  • Produce monthly reports on KPI's.
  • Report on risks, opportunities and threats identified in the District.
  • Facilitate and oversee the identification of HS (High Sites) agreements for the location of new and existing HS.
  • Assist support staff with compilation of legal HS agreements.

Stock:


  • Ensure that all staff adhere to prescribed asset management practices.
  • Ensuring adequate stock levels are maintained in the District Office and that stock is efficiently and timeously istributed to Field Services staff.
  • Reporting on usage of critical stock timeously to prevent disaster situations.
  • Ensure that equipment is efficiently deployed, recovered and booked back onto the stock systems using FIFO (First in First Out).

Training of Personnel:


  • Ensure all staff in the team is trained on all SOP's and other relevant topics.
  • Ensure staff regularly attend online training as provided by the Herotel Online Academy.

HSE:


  • Direct responsibility for adherence to and reporting on all HSE activities for the teams under Management.
  • Implement all required safety processes and procedures and ensure they are practiced, ensure staff safety is maintained.

Management Representation:


  • Represent the face of Herotel in the local community.
  • Always uphold the Herotel culture and values.
  • Be involved in the community and be passionate about defending the Herotel brand at every opportunity.

Alignment and Standards:


  • Within the scope of Network Management, ensure all staff members are aligned with the strategy, management systems, and culture which includes all standards, policies and procedure.
  • Minimum 13 Years Management experience.
  • Ability to design operational fixed wireless networks.
  • Advanced knowledge and understanding a fixed wireless network and fibre network.
  • Advanced customer service skills.
  • Managing teams in network related functions.
  • Good analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Ability to coach, develop, lead and motivate staff.
  • Selfdisciplined, motivated and organized.
  • Ability to communicate and report to crossfunctional systems and departments.
  • Manage budget locally allocated to the District Office and function within the allocated budget.
