Requirements:


  • National Diploma in Electrical Engineering or N6 Diploma
  • Minimum of two (2) years' related experience
(power system distribution)

  • Knowledge of operating regulations for high voltage certificate.
Key Performance Areas

  • Facilitate liaison of the control centre with enterprise asset
management, engineering, infrastructure operations personnel

and external electricity suppliers/ contractors/ consumers

on planned network expansions and equipment maintenance

requirements

  • Assess impact of planned power system work on network
security and continuity of supply such as conduct load flow

studies/simulations/analyses utilising available specialised

software and resources to minimise/mitigate impact on loading

of remaining equipment

  • Compile power system switching procedures/ programmes for
planned power system work detailing operational and safety

SCADA Systems, network operations and safety considerations

  • Write reports to record research and information collection,
share information, formulate conclusions and strategies and

make recommendations.
