Who You'll Work With:


  • You will be based in our Johannesburg office as part of our Africa HR team.
  • Our Africa office comprises 6 locations that include more than 500 consulting and nonconsulting colleagues. You will also be part of the broader HR team in the Central Asia, Middle East and Africa regions.
  • You will work collaboratively with the leadership of other functions in the Johannesburg office as well as other firm functions including people legal, immigration legal, payroll, talent management, recruiting and professional development. You will report to the manager of human resources.

What You'll Do:


  • You will provide standardized administrative, organizational and logístical support to events or activities related to learner development and connectivity.
  • With close supervisory guidance you will support the planning, organization of logistics and provide onsite/virtual planning support as needed. You will manage data and infrastructure, operate IT systems, including data collection and administration. You will also create reports and run standardized data analyses.
  • You will maintain relevant practice infrastructure and materials (e.g., Box notes, Slack channels, distribution lists, newsletters, program support materials). You will support special projects on simple operational tasks (as needed). And last but not least, you will contribute to the improvement of processes, best practices and tools under the instruction of more senior team members.

Qualifications:


  • Graduate degree, with a strong academic record
  • 2+ years of relevant professional work experience
  • Proficiency in HR systems such as SAP/SuccessFactors (People Central) for employee life cycle management processes
  • Comfort with MS Excel and Access
  • Strong integrity and fairness in dealing with members of the firm and confidential information
  • Ability to deliver results (e.g., to meet the requisite defined service level agreements in HR operations)
  • Comfortable working in an ambiguous environment
  • Strong customer service orientation
