We have a fabulous hybrid opportunity that's "on the nose" for a mid-weight wine-loving Social Media Manager at an historic wine farm in Stellenbosch.

We are looking for an energetic and digitally savvy Social Media Manager with an interest in or passion for wine and sustainability and a love of Social Media.

Influencer management experience and ability to create video content would be a 'nice to have' but not essential. You must be able to plan boosted campaigns and manage a Social Media budget.


Someone who lives in the vicinity of the wine farm is preferable, in order to be on site when required to attend events after hours and on weekends.

Responsibilities:


  • Develop, guide, and report on a comprehensive Social Media strategy to ensure consistent and effective brand messaging and a cohesive brand experience across all Social Media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Pinterest, and potentially TikTok
  • Develop a wellplanned Social Media calendar that considers the different elements of the brand, the needs of internal stakeholders, and opportunities for consumer engagement
  • Drive the content creation process, including shot lists, references, music selection, and coordination with photographers and videographers to produce engaging storytelling content showcasing the vineyards, hotel, cellar, events, and farm that tells the story of the company's regenerative business
  • Generate, write, edit, publish, and share daily engaging content on primary Social Media channels
  • Manage the online community, address queries and feedback, and maintain a positive brand presence
  • Build and nurture relationships with influencers and key industry creatives to enhance our social presence
  • Maintain platform profiles up to date with relevant information, bios, links, cover photos, etc.
  • Plan boosted posts and collaborate with our digital media agency for implementation
  • Analyse data and metrics to inform new and improved social and digital strategies and compile monthly reports
  • Manage the Social Media budget, including processing invoices and ensuring adherence to budgetary guidelines
  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitive insights, and emerging Social Media technologies.

Requirements:


  • Relevant tertiary qualification
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in Social Media Content Creation inclusive of producing content, managing budget, analysing and reporting on data using tools such as Facebook Ads Manager, Google analytics, Sprout
  • Knowledge about wine and the wine industry, or a passion to get to know it
  • A passion and interest for sustainable business and farming
  • Ability to form good relationships with multiple internal whom you will rely on for content, and working with a highly collaborative team
  • Excellent copywriting and communication skills with the ability to tailor content to different platform audiences
  • Good command of the English language
  • Influencer management experience nice to have
  • Able to create video content nice to have
  • Strong creative ideation skills, great eye for photography and able to create short content films for IG Reels and FB and IG stories.
  • Understanding of and passion for a constantly evolving media landscape, interested in the latest trends in Social Media apps
  • Strong time management and wellorganised
  • Balance of on and offsite working
  • Based in the area with own transport and flexibility to attend key events.
