Responsibilities:
What we're looking for:
We are looking for a Sales and Distribution Manager to join our dynamic team. The role is physically located in Brits, North West reporting to the Commercial Director.
The role is responsible for managing the sales and distribution functions of a large size operation inclusive of orders, warehousing and fleet management, developing and maintaining optimum sales and delivery plans and effectively maximising market share whilst ensuring the availability of products to drive customer satisfaction.
- Planning distribution incl. products, people, vehicles, routes & customers
- Managing Fleet optimisation, equipment utilisation and promotional assets
- Optimising stock management of final goods
- Analysing sales forecasts, competitor activities and formulated sales strategies
- Negotiating and managing trading terms, price, shelf space & promotions
- Managing internal/ key account/ 3rd party/ agents performance & working capital
- Executing customer service delivery incl. orders, product returns, queries & cash
Qualifications:
What will qualify you for the role
- 56 years' experience as Manager Distribution & Sales
- National Diploma in Sales and/or Distribution/Logistics and Marketing
- Leadership and relationship building skills
- People management skills
- Systems, procedures and systems EG:SAP
- Ability to analyse sales forecasts, competitor activities and to formulate sales strategies
- Ability to negotiate and manage trading terms, price, shelf space & promotions
