Quality Assurance Lab Assistant is therefore tasked with the responsibility of performing sampling, testing, measuring, recording and analysing of all relevant products manufactured.

The Lab Assistant is also responsible for ensuring that manufactured products adhere to quality criteria, and meets customer requirements.

  • To inspect, test and measure products that are being manufactured by the production team.
  • To inspect finished products and accept or reject those that do not meet the required specifications upon approval of the Factory Operations & Site Quality Assurance Technician.
  • Reports on product inspections and test data are to be filed accordingly and be readily available for inspection at any times.
  • To verify data by comparing it to the correct source documents to ensure that Qualichem standards are being met at all times.
  • To read, understand and implement acceptable specifications regarding the production process and ISO standards according to the various SOP's.
  • Maintain accurate and uptodate records for all existing laboratory data.
  • Liaise with the production team regarding approved adjustments that need to be made to certain production processes.
  • Responsible for ensuring that the highest level of quality is maintained throughout the sample process.
  • Monitor laboratory operations to ensure that Qualichem general operating standards are being met.
  • Work in accordance with Standard Health and Safety requirements, as per the Health and Safety Act and relevant Company Policies in this regard. Therefore, responsible to run the laboratory safely and efficiently at all times.
  • Ensure all tests are completed and that the results and specification on the product meet the recommended requirements before going onto the next production procedure or batch approval.
  • Generate the appropriate paperwork such as Certificate Of Analysis etc. as needed or as requested by customers.
  • Gather and analyse samples received from customers timeously and provide feedback to Head Office technical Support who will in turn liaise with the relevant Sales Representative as to which Qualichem product matches the customer's sample.
  • Follow all steps in the technical process and express good judgement when advising on technical issues in line with the Technical SOP's.
  • If required, follow applicable Raw Material test methods and file all related paperwork.
  • Identify and communicate product issues to all other departments as required.
  • Ensure that the correct standard of operating procedures in the Quality Control department meet ISO requirements.
  • To perform any other duties as assigned by management timeously and to the best of your ability.

Be able to view colour visually & use spectrometer.

Salary:
R1.00 - R7,000.00 per month
