Job Desciption:


Paarden Eiland is currently seeking to appoint a Senior Mailroom Operator with experience in a printing environment, to ensure sound operation of all mailroom machinery, correct inserting of inserts, bundle make-ups and consistent delivery of world-class quality products on time and in full.


Key Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Effective execution of all job cards as set out by the Supervisor
  • Ensure that the mailroom equipment is setup to produce maximum quality bundles and as per set SOP (e.g MSD/ENT/ROS/JEFF/LAT/WIND-UNWIND/MTD/MTS/SHRINK TUNNELS)
  • Ensure optimal use of resources at maximum efficiency levels in a safe working environment
  • Responsible for the entire production line, ensuring the correct inserting of inserts
  • Responsible for operator repairs & settings e.g. MSD plate settings, ROS & LAT timing, replacing broken gripper, resetting MTS Fork Loop Paddles (Flaps)
  • Ensure labelling, packaging and palletizing is of a world class standard
  • Assist in building a highly skilled and motivated team
  • Ensure good housekeeping standards are maintained
  • Adherence to safety procedures and operational maintenance

Educational Requirements:


  • Matric or equivalent

Experience Requirements:


  • 23years' experience within a similar position
  • Knowledge of MIS, Shopware, Insert Module Advantageous

Skills and Competencies:


  • The ability to multitask and to work independently under pressure
  • Good troubleshooting skills in a fastpaced deadline driven environment
  • Good communicator
  • Ability to work effectively in a team
  • Must be able to work fast and accurately
  • Ability to understand written work instructions
  • Being medically fit for the working environment
  • Excellent time and attendance
