A well-established tech firm is seeking a Sales Specialist to promote solutions and services that can be accessed by different stakeholders with technical expertise.
The successful individual must have expert knowledge in a specific solution area, and a broad level of knowledge across multiple different solutions areas (domains) as they will work across accounts.
The Sales Specialist must display an excellent level of industry knowledge, business strategy skills, commercial acumen, and an understanding of sourcing models and market trends as well as in-depth understanding of the client's business.
They will also be responsible for supporting the various sales teams in client facing activities, as well as finding new sales opportunities by owning direct client engagement.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or similar field
- Experience developing new business and capturing existing customer accounts
- 4+ years work experience in a Sales/ Customer Service role and proven ability of selling solutions
- Ability to analyze client needs by asking probing questions and having a conversational approach to explore and uncover the client's needs
- Must be solution driven and have the ability to preempt stakeholder objections and push the client to a favourable outcome
- Aim to realize revenue and margin targets and exploit opportunities, whilst displaying notable client service orientation
- Previous experience influencing and working closely with vendors, partners and internal employees e.g. Solution Architects, to understand their strategies and services for solutions and achieving the required results
- Knowledge of how to articulate the roadmap, and associated impacts for clients
- Must know how to evaluate and consider opportunities as a potential buy and can discern when to withdraw from the sales engagement and when to pursue it
- Ability to generate demand by assisting clients to identify current needs and articulate how the client can add value through the organizations services and solutions
- Understanding of the competitive environment and effectively pursuing and selecting specific deals that will have profitable results
- Must be target and deadline driven, able to work under pressure and selfmotivated
