Description

Duties:

Accurately diagnose faults found and reported on a vehicle (trouble shooting)
Carry out servicing and repairs to vehicles in an efficient manner to ensure that the vehicles do not return to the workshop with the same fault
Conduct servicing according to company's specifications and service sheet
Ensure workshop quality, safety and security procedures are always adhered to
Report any vehicle faults other than those on-the-job cards
Work accurately and timeously to achieve both efficiency and productivity to the required standards
Conduct road tests on repaired vehicles as and when needed

REQUIREMENTS:

Qualified Diesel Mechanic
Driver's license
Able to operate Dynamometer and Test engines
Knowledgeable in a variety of engines
At least 5 years' experience as diesel mechanic on commercial vehicles
Overall truck knowledge is ESSENTIAL with good Electrical engine knowledge
Computer literate
