Description

Our client is currently looking for a versatile
Senior Network Administrator on a 3 Year fixed Term Contract.

As a Network Engineer, you will ensure maximum service availability and performance on all core systems, provision services on core infrastructure and assist the SD with escalated support incidents outside of the expertise levels of the SD Engineers.

Deliver exceptional service to internal and external customers
Respond and resolve all incidents in accordance with the SLA
Analyze issues and develop resolutions in a timely fashion
Collaborate with the service desk team to address enduser network issues, and work with vendors to resolve any hardware or software issues.
Conduct regular maintenance tasks such as updates, patches, and backups to ensure network availability and security.
Develop and maintain network documentation and diagrams, ensuring all configurations are uptodate and accurate.
Provide guidance to other team members on best practices for network design and implementation.
Install, configure, and support network switches, firewalls, routers and wireless controllers, and access points.
Troubleshooting and management of LAN and WAN (SDWAN) environments.
Routing protocol knowledge.
Layer 2 and 3 networking, including STP, VLANs and port channel/Ether channel technology, etc.
Switching knowledge as per CCNP.
Configuring firewalls, routing, and switching to maximize network efficiency and security.
Maximizing network performance through ongoing monitoring and troubleshooting.
Arranging scheduled upgrades.
Investigating faults in the network.
Updating network equipment to the latest firmware releases.
Interface with vendors and service provider groups to ensure proper escalation during outages or periods of degraded system performance.
