Technical Facilities Manager

Rosebank

Our client a leading, multi-national property management concern seeks to appoint a Technical Manager who will be responsible for managing all activities relating to the operational infrastructure and operational management of the portfolio, which will include all hard and soft services as well as building projects.

Requirements_

Technical qualification in Building Science, Project Management, Construction Management or Engineering.
Minimum of 5 years experience in Operations / Facilities Management within a retail, commercial or industrial property environment.
Strong technical knowledge on building infrastructure; generators, HVAC systems, chillers, electrical etc.
Sound knowledge of Service Level Agreements and Contract management, the implementation and management thereof.
Ability to manage Capex projects against budgets.
Sound knowledge of the OHS and SHE Acts.

Key Performance Areas_

Provide accurate reporting on Projects and overseeing process and ensure projects completed within timeframes.
Ensure training and development of operations staff and ensuring competent execution of their duties.
Implementation of Policies & Procedures on all Preventative Maintenance Plans and manage compliance thereof.
Take part in the tender evaluation committee.
Setup BOQ's for tender purposes in conjunction with the Operations teams and PM's.
Manage the tender process from inception to completion.
Conduct conditional assessment inspections on an ad hoc basis.
Assist with any changes to the legislation and implement compliance thereof.
Compile annual Capex projects budgets and ensure execution of projects within budget and timeframes.
Provide technical support to all the regions in your portfolio.
Liaise with the client on extraordinary specialized technical issues in conjunction with the Mechanical Engineer and Portfolio Managers.
Assist with controlling monthly budgets and recurring expenses in conjunction with the Operations Manager.
Provide input on annual expense budget.

R800, R1,000,000.00 per year
