INSPECTOR (Private security industry)

AIM


To oversee and co-ordinate protection operations of the building in which deployed, monitor all systems and equipment in the control room and facilitate irregularities and defects to relevant people.

Liaise with civil authorities in case of emergencies, and as well as provide, supervision of security officers deployed in the building of control.

Uphold the client's values and principles at all times.


RESPONSIBILITY

  • To be responsible and reliable towards the client at all times.
  • Always to be an example to Junior Security Officers, working under his/her Supervision.
  • Must be well informed of the Company Disciplinary Code.
  • Must have the ability to lead a team.
  • Responsible to post Security Officers at various points in the building, during parades.
  • To see that Security Officers is neat and tidy dressed and shaved, and sober before reporting for duty.
  • To observe and do a building inspection during shift.
  • Report any irregularities to the Control Room and Site Manager, and foresee that such incident is written into the Occurrence Book.
  • Supervision of manpower deployed in your building or area of control.
  • Be alert and proactive at all times.
  • To see that the security work place is kept neat and tidy at all times.
  • Effective report writing and statements.
  • Must assist in investigations, and provide necessary information.
  • Must be able to work on computer; EBI or other security system (CCTV and access control).
  • Must be conversant with emergency procedures and evacuation drills.
  • Must report all security equipment faults and alarms to CPO promptly.
  • Monthly audits; one page stats and weekly reports.
  • Effective customer service.
  • Must be aware that all lost and found equipment must be handed over to the control room.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Grade A
  • Psira registered and up to date
  • Minimum Grade 10
  • Driver's license (Code 8)
  • PSIRA Grade A
  • Minimum Grade 10
  • Driver's license (Code 8)
  • Excellent Communication skills in English (Verbal & Written)
  • Report writing skills in English
  • Previous experience in a supervisory role advantageous.
  • Experience working in a CID environment advantageous.
  • Good physical condition
  • Neat and presentable
  • No criminal record
