Role Overview:

As the Managing Director, you will be tasked with driving the provision of sustainable integrated waste management services to the citizens of the City of Johannesburg.

Your primary responsibilities include developing business plans, corporate strategy, and ensuring world-class waste services aligning with the City's Growth and Development Strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

Proactively shaping the organization's future through vision and strategic direction.
Cultivating an ethos of excellence and continuous improvement in customer service.
Ensuring a strong culture of governance, compliance, financial, and operational sustainability.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree.
Post Graduate qualification in Business, Economics, Engineering, or Finance.
MBA/MBL qualification (advantageous).

Minimum Experience:

10 years at Executive Level.
5 years in waste and/or logistics management.
Experience in State/Municipal Owned Enterprise or similar governancefocused environments.

Required Competencies:

Knowledge of MFMA/PFMA and King III report on corporate governance.
Advanced understanding of policy, legislation, governance systems, audit, risk, and finance management.
