Job Advert Summary:

To assist in the validation of investment data, perform analysis on the output of the investment reports and respond to queries on reports and requests for information.

Receive invoices from Asset Managers and check the Asset Manager contract to confirm the methodology used.

Prepare monthly management fees report for all Asset Managers and submit for review and signing to the Investment Administration Manager.

Receive short-term fixed interest from Alexander Forbes and monthly money market report from Maitland.

Minimum Requirements:

TECHNICAL COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS
Basic insight into financial instruments and markets
Strong numerical and data analysis skills
Intermediate Excel skills
Knowledge of investment systems (e.g., Statpro - Revolution advantageous)
Ability to manage day to day investments queries and engage with the investment staff.
Financial system knowledge

REQUIRED MINIMUM EDUCATION/TRAINING

Relevant Degree or Diploma.
REQUIRED MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE ? At least 3 years job-related experience.

Complete Performance Reporting

Receive invoices from Asset Managers and check the Asset Manager contract to confirm the methodology used.
Prepare monthly management fees report for all Asset Managers and submit for review and signing to the Investment Administration Manager.
Receive shortterm fixed interest from Alexander Forbes and monthly money market report from Maitland.
Recalculate money weighted return and modified Dietz return, aligned to the benchmark, to ensure that any cash flows incurred are correctly accounted.
Prepare monthly absolute returns report for Money Market Dealer and submit for review by the second party and approval by the Investment Administration Manager.
Prepare consolidated monthly performance pack for all Asset Managers.
Reconcile returns calculated with returns calculated by Asset Managers on the statement, and verify calculations are aligned to the benchmark.
Check that international yeartodate returns internally calculated aligns with international Asset Manager Returns.
Submit the report for review by the second party and approval by the Investment Administration Manager prior to distribution to the relevant parties.
Verify the accuracy and completeness of monthly internal portfolio reports received from Maitland.
Prepare quarterly SIC report for Investment Management Unit.
Prepare Daily Investment Report to report total Fund Assets Under Management
Prepare Stale Price report for data accuracy and report any invalid stale prices on listed instruments.
Perform debt valuations on unlisted securities for Private Markets.
Monitor and maintain Inhouse LDI Benchmark by reinvesting monthly coupons received and rebalancing benchmark on an adhoc basis.
Prepare Equity Linked Notes validation checks against associated benchmarks and spread.
Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual performance reports statements accurately and in a timely manner.

Conduct Accounting for Asset Managers

Receive Asset Manager Investment report and reconcile all movements.
Prepare monthly external Asset Manager Journals by balancing investment accounts, debtors, creditors, expenses, income and profit or loss accounts.
Submit the journals for review and send approved journals to Investment Accountant to post on financial system for month end reporting.
Respond to queries and carry out research and additional analysis as and when required.
Timely and accurate monthly reporting, reconciliations and journaling prepared for Investment Accountants
