Manager: End to End Network Performance - Midrand, South Africa - Vodafone
Description
Role purpose:
To provide technical support (RAN and Transmission) to all counties. To coordinate region wide network quality improvement initiatives.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Drives network competitiveness, drive tests analysis and driving the implementation of projects and upgrades to improve these KPIs.
- To provide support for regional configuration planning on 2G, 3G, 4G & 5G RAN
- To create job order requests for all counties and coordinate implementation
- To reduce congestion in the network, by generating network capacity plans for all counties
- To manage network quality forums for the counties
- To Provide guidance on improvement plans for network performance endtoend
- To assist in rollout of new technologies
- To provide high level support for all transmission related issues
- To provide transmission configuration plans for all counties
- To provide transmission core plans for all counties
- To provide transmission access planning for all counties (microwave & fibre)
- To provide guideline and support on energy efficient solutions for the counties
- To ensure seamless coordination of customer care queries and resolutions
- To create long term plans for switching core network
Education:
Matric/Grade 12 or SAQA equivalent (essential)
Three-year degree or diploma in Electronic/Electrical Engineering (Light) or SAQA equivalent
Experience:
3 years' experience in coordinating across various stakeholders
5+ years' experience in overall network architecture with exposure to Radio Planning & Optimisation/Radio Maintenance & Transmission/Network Performance Management/Project Management

- Collaborates with central teams in planning regional projects
- Transmission technologies
- Radio Frequency (RF)
- Health and Safety
- Liaise with vendors
- Company products and services
- GSM, 3G, LTE & 5G knowledge
