Minimum 10 ans
Ideally as a Mining Manager, ideally you will possess the following:
- Appropriate Business Degree and / or 10 years' experience gained in a petrochemical marketing or comparable business environment
- Knowledge and understanding of business and legal fundamentals
- Applied sales management, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
- Knowledge of mining industry and environment advantageous
Activités
- As a Mining Manager, you will be responsible for the following activities:
HSE
- To effectively manage and minimise
HSE risk within area of responsibility by ensuring - Compliance with all
HSE Policies, rules, guideline and legal requirement - Promotion of safe working environment and positively contributing to the company
HSE KPIs and risk reduction strategies, that
HSE competency requirements are identified & enforced within area of responsibility - Mining & Technical strategy:
- To participate in developing marketing strategies and oversee their implementation and execution
- To ensure Total is listed and known as a supplier with all mining companies nationally
- To ensure all appropriate customer tenders and business opportunities are responded to in a professional manner
- To ensure that existing profitable business is maintained and grown through excellent customer service
- Mining & Technical sales:
- To ensure sales budgets are achieved for fuels
- To sell all products at profitable margins
- To ensure pricing and rebates are effectively managed and ensure that the customer is charged for any additional services offered
- To ensure all costing associated with customers is accounted for and that under recoveries (e.g. transport, product returns, Fuel Management System costs, maintenance costs, etc) are collected
- To manage the level of Gross margin after variable cost by customer and ensure that agreed customer service levels are met /exceeded
- To ensure customers pay within agreed terms and resolve credit related issues
- To interpret variance analysis, prepare and present business reviews for the channel of trade
- Mining & Technical investment projects:
- To manage OPEX and CAPEX commitments and liquidations to effectively control the investments of the division
- People Management:

HSEQ: - To ensure constant adherence and compliance to company
HSEQ and security standards, local bylaws, standards and legislation so as to minimise all risk pertaining to company assets and protection of life - Governance:
- To ensure effective risk management and internal control, including asset management, for area of responsibility
- Wet Stock Management:
- To define KPIs to monitor Sales Representatives and ISP's on Wet Stock Management and Operational Excellence improvement on site
- To notify and agree with ISP on the gains/losses above the tolerance level that will be invoiced to them
- Customer to Cash:
- To ensure that all Sales representatives undergo mandatory training to negotiate terms with customer and process to open customer accounts
- To define KPIs for sales representatives
- To ensure that all Sales Representatives adhere to all the policies and procedures
- General:
- To ensure critical skills and positions are identified
- To ensure succession plan is in place for direct reports, and update job descriptions at least every 2 years
- To ensure the annual employee review process includes a review of employee career plan and development plan
- To ensure direct reports understand and comply with Procurement policy and procedures, and that noncompliance to procurement procedures will be addressed
- To ensure business rules for Asset Management are adhered to, the monthly AUC report is acted upon and the Asset survey is completed

Pressure to develop financially viable solutions for each customer and ensure longterm sustainable and profitable business in a volatile market where customers have the freedom of choice.
- Other internal or external constraints which make this job challenging are an uncertain regulatory environment (transforming from heavy regulation towards easing of regulation in some areas and tightening in others) skills shortages, BBBEE transformation imperatives, etc
