Description
Take charge of airfreight import and export function as per customer requirements

  • Contribute fully to the development and wellfunctioning of the department, challenging assumptions and decisionmaking as appropriate to daily activity.
  • Ensure that company procedures are adhered to in supporting current activities and future growth.
  • Work with senior teams to grow the business, on implementation of strategy and plans.
  • Ensure corporate budgeting processes are carried out and reviewed.
  • Take ultimate responsibility for one's work.
  • Ensure that the regulatory requirements of all statutory bodies are met.
  • Establish a high level of credibility and manage strong working relationships with external parties including customers and suppliers.
  • Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements relating to customs procedures, and any other industryrelated bodies.

Required Skills Set:


  • Freight forwarding certificate or equivalent.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to handle high levels of pressure and tie management.
  • Hands on operational experience on shipment handling from A-Z.
  • Basic computer literacy in MS Office Suite.
  • Ability to generate quotations and ensure file profitability

Education and Formal Training:


  • Matric, a freight/logisticsrelated qualification an advantage

Experience:


  • 1 to 2 years related experience in freight forwarding; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in both airfreight imports and exports handling
  • Knowledge of imports, exports, customs clearing procedures

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
R17 000,00 - R18 000,00 per month
