The position of Specialist Provider Liaison Office is vacant.

The Specialist Provider Liaison Office will report directly to the

Senior Manager:
Healthcare Networks and Provider Relations and forms part of the Healthcare Management Division. The position is based at Head Office in Pretoria.

The total remuneration package for these positions is negotiable based on qualifications and experience.

The Specialist Provider Liaison Office will be required to provide support to the

Senior Manager:
Networks and Provider Relations through the implementation of the following Key Performance Areas (KPAs):

  • Support the Manager: Provider Liaison Office with all the complex escalations from the PLOs as well as general Provider Liaison Office administration.
  • Assist with the review and management of SPNs operational reports
  • Provide substantiated commentary on the quality of network services and provider compliance to the Scheme network agreements
  • Represent Healthcare Management Division at SPN and Stakeholder Engagements and promote Scheme provider relations strategy.
  • Support the review of periodic and ad hoc reports relating to all stakeholder engagements
  • Support other Scheme Division's in managed care activities
  • Fulfil various stakeholder engagements as directed

Qualifications and other requirements are:

  • A 3year Diploma/Degree at NQF level 6 in Clinical Sciences or related fields
  • A minimum of 3 years work experience in the healthcare funding/medical scheme industry
  • A minimum of 3 years working within a Healthcare Networks and Provider Relationship environment specifically resolving high level and complex queries and complaints of which one year should be in a team leader role
  • Experience in healthcare networks and provider relations essential
  • Demonstrate ability in development and presentation of management reports
  • Sound Quantitative and qualitative analysis skills with ability to manage priorities
  • Have sound planning and project management skills
  • Have diligent work ethics with attention to detail
  • Have ability to work well as part of a team
  • Be responsible and reliable
  • Excellent communication and writing skills
  • Be a selfstarter
  • Computer literacy and MS Office skill
