Description
A well-established company is looking for a Senior Payroll Officer to join and expand their energetic team in Durban.


Duties include:


  • Full payroll function
  • Manage the administration of remuneration and employee benefits
  • Statutory deductions and surveys
  • Provide reports
  • Payroll audits
  • Admin of the Biometric system
  • Investigate and resolve any discrepancies on the time and attendance system
  • Develop and maintain any ad hoc operational reporting
  • Resolving discrepancies
  • Exporting relevant files
  • Perform fortnightly payroll
  • Monthly payroll
  • Identify and manage new engagements and terminations
  • Capture third party deductions
  • Import of fortnightly hours and leave transactions
  • Import night shift and monthly overtime calculated on time and attendance system
  • Generate reports after completion of fortnightly and monthly payrolls
  • Generating ACBs for timely payments monthly
  • Export bank files for third party payments
  • UIF submissions
  • EFT requisitions for Wages & salaries
  • Preparing and submitting reconciled schedules of Medical Aid, Provident fund, Risk, service providers
  • Advances and deductions approvals and reconciliations
  • EMP501 recons and submissions
  • WCA

Minimum requirements:


  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a payroll and renumeration environment
  • Experience and knowledge in Sage 300
  • Personal income tax knowledge
  • Payroll/Remuneration and Benefits qualification or Payroll Certification advantageous
  • Experience in efilling, SARS, queries beneficial
  • Understanding of ESS Knowledge beneficial

  • Ballito, KwaZulu-Natal: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
