Needed to work as a Fryer at a previous establishment.


The purpose of a fry cook is to prepare and cook food to a high standard in a safe and hygienic manner.

This includes preparing and cooking ingredients, following recipes, plating and garnishing dishes, keeping the kitchen clean and maintaining a safe and organised work environment.

Fry cooks must also ensure that all food safety guidelines are adhered to.

Fry Cook Role

A Fry Cook is responsible for preparing deep-fried food items in a kitchen setting.

They must be able to safely operate deep-fryers and other kitchen equipment, follow recipes, and adhere to health and safety guidelines.

Fry Cooks must also ensure that the food they prepare is of a high quality.

Fry Cook Duties

  • Preparing meals to order
  • Cooking and grilling food
  • Operating deep fryers, grills and other equipment
  • Cleaning and maintaining work and serving areas
  • Stocking and replenishing supplies
  • Adhering to health and safety regulations
