Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Front of House/Restaurant Manager to join our client's team at a bustling restaurant in Mouille Point, Cape Town.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual who is looking to make a lasting career in the restaurant industry.

As the Front of House/Restaurant Manager, you will report directly to the General Manager and will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the establishment.


Responsibilities:


  • Provide strong leadership and management to a team of 50 staff members, ensuring efficient and smooth operations.
  • Maintain a high standard of customer service, ensuring that all guests receive a warm welcome and excellent dining experience.
  • Manage all front of house operations, including reservations, seating arrangements, and customer inquiries.
  • Monitor and control inventory levels, ensuring that all supplies are adequately stocked.
  • Implement and enforce restaurant policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Train and develop staff members, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure seamless coordination between the front and back of house.
  • Handle customer feedback and resolve any complaints or issues in a professional and timely manner.

Requirements:

South African citizenship is required (no foreign nationals)

  • Proven experience in a similar role within the restaurant industry
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and problemsolving abilities
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Knowledge of food and beverage operations
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a fastpaced environment
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Salary: R R25000 (dependent on experience)
