The SENIOR HUMAN CAPITAL BUSINESS PARTNER is responsible for both the strategic and operational implementation of the people and HR strategy for a growing and prestigious asset management firm.


As the most senior HR specialist, the Business Partner is responsible for developing and offering direction, support and expertise on a wide range of people matters, ranging from employee lifecycle processes, talent and performance, and employee relations.


Key Activities include:

  • Embedding the company's culture, philosophy and values across the business
  • Identify trends to develop solutions, programs and policies and provide HC policy guidance and interpretation
  • Develop talent management frameworks: implement talent acquisition and talent retention strategies including developing the EVP, supporting talent development and succession plans.
  • Provides daytoday performance management guidance to line management
  • Working closely with the Development team to develop and deliver relevant learning interventions, according to team and organisational needs.
  • Responsible for workforce planning, employment equity and statutory reporting.
  • Act as the strategic advisor on best practice and process in relation to employee relations matters.
  • Develop and run procedures and practices, in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications, Competencies and Experience required:

  • Relevant degree
  • 10 years or more experience in an HR business partnering, generalist or senior HR management role
  • 4 yeas experience at senior management level
  • Proven strategic and operational experience in HR
  • Ideal industry experience: financial, investment or professional services.
  • Profile: action oriented, persuasive, influencer, execution focused


This role will suit a confident, experienced HR generalist, business partner or manager who is driven by being both strategically and operationally involved.

This role is based in Sandton.
