Description:


An iconic and innovative Sportswear Brand has a vacancy for a talented Apparel and Accessories Category Manager. You will be responsible for the execution of the Brand strategy in line with the company's strategic objectives. Ensure a balanced product range and assortment of merchandise that is correctly priced in line with the market needs. Lead range management, pricing, assortment planning through local sourcing/production. A Retail Buying background in Accessories/Apparel (Sport) essential.

Responsibilities:


  • Support Brand Manager in delivering the brand strategy so as to achieve a financial performance in line with Brand positioning and agreed objectives.
  • Ensure the achievement of the Financial Performance of the Brand as agreed and budgeted.
  • Locally source and produce a seasonal range of Sports Apparel and Accessories product.
  • Responsible for leading the buying process, for the category, including range architecture, procurement of seasonal product ranges and for stock level management.
  • Manage the endtoend process of all locally developed styles.
  • Communicate comprehensive and concise tech packs and costing to suppliers.
  • Responsible for maintaining style orders.
  • Negotiate supplier trade terms, costs and deliveries to source product from local manufacturers.
  • Oversee the management of functional relationships between the company and suppliers.
  • Coordinate planning and budgeting including post seasonal analysis, market feedback, trend analysis and retail shopping lists for the category.
  • Collaborate with Planning to agree sales plan, profitability targets and pricing architecture for the category.
  • Ensure the category range satisfies both the wholesale and retail strategies and provide input to both these channels.
  • Create presentations for monthly and quarterly Business Reviews and regular updates to Management.
  • Analyse range performance, within the category, and sellthrough data across all channels.

Requirements:


Qualifications:
Relevant Degree in Fashion Design or Product Development.

Experience:
Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in apparel and accessories buying and category management.
