Description

The purpose of this role is to provide solutions that integrate all technical aspects of the Blue Prism infrastructure with existing architectures, including networks, virtual environments, and security frameworks.

The RPA Architect Lead is the main liaison between Intelligent Automation (IA) Centre of Excellence (CoE) and internal stakeholders and is responsible for conducting architectural evaluation, design and implementation of automated solution.


Strategic Function:


  • Contributes to the strategy, vision and governance for the IA capability.
  • Provide strategic support to business in identifying technical solutions and opportunities that will enable and drive business
strategy.

  • Take the strategic lead in all IA infrastructure configuration.
  • Support the implementation of the Centre Balance Score Card (BSC)
project and initiatives.


Product Management:


  • Design and architect scalable and efficient RPA solutions.
  • Facilitate and lead intelligent automation reengineering and design sessions.
  • Identify opportunities in existing customer business processes to architect and design RPA frameworks/technology.
  • Facilitate integration between the business and technology to create solutions for customers.
  • Keep abreast with the latest trends and advancements in RPA technologies and identify opportunities for innovation.
  • Benchmarking and keeping abreast of latest technologies and advancement to identify opportunities for innovation in the audit
environment.

  • Contribute to the planning, development, and maintenance of IA solutions in the operations.
  • Manage the implementation of the automations into the various IA environments.
  • Participate in design authority to review automation designs ensuring governance and alignment to design principles and
policies.

  • Document and maintain a repository of official architecture design policies and decisions across the Intelligent Automation (IA)
program.

  • Support the maintenance of IA design principles and standards.
  • Guide, mentor and coach team members as required, assisting in the team's skills development during automation development
projects.

  • Determine appropriate and costeffective architecture and infrastructure for IA.
  • Identify new technical integration solutions and accurately analyse and estimate new architectures and assess feasibility.
  • Identify and communicate the technical infrastructure requirements as required.
  • Create and maintain architectural documentation.
  • Support existing Blue Prism architecture and implementing change requirements as part of a structured change control process.
  • Drive the resolution of infrastructure issues impacting the Blue Prism platform.
  • Providing timely responses and solutions as required. Communicate with IA vendors on architecture related issues, suggesting improvements and participating with other users in the Blue Prism community.
  • Ensure IT governance standards and requirements are met.
  • Manage system upgrades, access control, and automation deployment across IA environments.

Stakeholder Management:


  • Establish, build and maintain collaborative working relationships with relevant internal stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain positive and valueadding relationships with relevant external stakeholders.
  • Scan the environment to ensure a clear understanding of stakeholder needs.
  • Proactively interact with stakeholders to determine their needs and deliver on them accordingly.
  • Provide strategic support and guidance to internal stakeholders on strategic matters in order to ensure alignment.
  • Engage with both internal and external stakeholders to identify and evaluate performance barriers in order to continuously improve on
the service delivery.

  • Work in collaboration with colleagues in the IA CoE to ensure timeous delivery of the work.
  • Establish and maintain relations with recognised professional bodies within own professional sphere.
  • Manage service level agreements (SLAs).

People Management:


  • Manage own and team performance to drive productivity.
  • Motivate, coach and mentor staff to ensure maximum productivity and development of the staff to their full potential.
  • Participate and / or take lead in the business unit transformation and culture plans.
  • Participate and / or take lead in the business unit transformation and culture plans.
  • Provide support to the management team with regard to centre management and other people related tasks.

Financial management and Operational Management:


  • Contribute to the compilation of centre budget, and manage project expenditure related to functional area.
  • Ensure compliance to AGSA policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with internal processes and procedures.
  • Manage supply chain processes within scope of work.

Other responsibilities:

Perform and/or manage other projects, tasks and assignments not stipulated on the Job description as and when required.


Formal Education:


  • Minimum qualification of a degree or
