Job Summary

We are currently recruiting for a Consultant Quality Control.

The successful incumbent must be a Professional or Professional Associate Valuer registered with the SACPVP (South African Council for the Property Valuers Profession).

In this role you will provide advice & support in the development & implementation of area of quality control specialisation; developing high quality standards & measures and coaching to ensure that errors do not re-occur.


Job Description:


  • Design and implement an audit template that measures the quality of valuations submitted by the Valuation suppliers in order to keep in line with the Service Level Agreement as well as accepted valuation practice and methodology. Provide a detailed description and criteria used of the said template to Regional Managers and Managing Directors of Valuation Companies in order for them to understand what they will be measured against. The detailed results of the aforementioned will be reflected in a quarterly report and utilised for the identification and mitigation of risks. Conduct quality assurance on all contracted valuation companies by performing site inspections to building sites and valued properties as well as physical visits to the contracted valuation office. Findings of these actions are recorded on the quality assurance template in order to identify risk and trend analysis of various Region's performance.
  • Conduct debriefing sessions with Valuation Contractors and Regional Management on post quality assurance findings, by presenting findings. Recommendations on training and areas of improvement are provided in order to rectify the identified risks.
  • Maintain sound knowledge of the Property Valuers Profession by assessing various legislation to identify the impact of changes to the profession.
  • Prepare and maintain Valuation Manual and Policies with regard to changes in the external valuation environment, by utilising ever changing legislation as well as Absa policies and requirements.
  • Assist and make recommendations with regards to management assurance issues, based on professional valuation knowledge, skills and experience.
  • Uphold policies and procedures by conducting quality assurance and reports to Management for action, on a continuous basis or per specific request.
  • Follow up with Regional Managers on outstanding action plans.
  • Utilize recommendations forthcoming of conducted quality assurance and action a plan to resolve management assurance issues.
Education

Bachelor's Degrees and Advanced Diplomas:
Business, Commerce and Management Studies (required)
